About PanelCross

PanelCross is a cross-reference of laptop LCD panels built from repair-shop teardown records: 2713 laptops opened, the panel inside each one recorded, and — where a different panel was tried — whether it fit.

What "verified" means

A substitution marked Fits or Does not fit was physically attempted. Fits with modification means it worked after rerouting a cable, trimming brackets, or similar. Unverified means a part number was noted without a clear outcome. The interchange family section is inferred by chaining verified swaps together and is labelled as such.

What we don't do

We don't sell panels and hold no inventory. Retailer links are plain search links; some are affiliate links (see Disclosure). Specifications marked est. are read from the part-number naming scheme, not measured.

Report a swap

If you tried a substitution — successful or not — tell us the laptop model, the original panel, the replacement, and what happened. Records with a photo of the panel label are added faster.
